地震和海嘯重創印尼 世界展望提供人道救援

印尼蘇拉威西島（Sulawesi）於9月28日發生芮氏規模7.5強震，引發最高達6公尺的海嘯襲擊該島，巴路市（Palu）和靠近震央的漁村棟加拉（Donggala）及馬穆朱（Mamuju）受災嚴重，截至10月1日中午，已有逾千人罹難。據當地世界展望會工作人員初步評估災情，預計受災人數將超過200萬人。
災難現場經歷 家破人亡的悲歌
「當地震發生，所有人都害怕地四處奔跑，之後發生的餘震和海嘯，更讓我們擔心性命不保。」印尼世界展望會巴路計畫區主任薩柏塔里娜‧杜‧法比里雅提（Sabtarina Dwi Febriyanti）述說災難現場的親身經歷，「海嘯來襲時，許多人爬上車子，試圖逃到更高的地方，此起彼落的機車和汽車喇叭聲，讓當時的氛圍更加可怕。」
由於災區電力和通訊中斷，道路和橋樑則因土石流有多處毀損，巴路市的機場也因塔台受損而關閉，導致救援工作困難重重。印尼世界展望會蘇拉威西區主任拉迪卡‧品透（Radika Pinto）表示，災後遍地滿目瘡痍，當地輸水管線被破壞，自來水廠因此關閉，商店和市場沒有營業，許多民眾正在挨餓，急需食物和乾淨飲水。
組緊急救援團隊 展望會響應捐款
世界展望會於災後第一時間即組成緊急救援團隊進行搜索和災情評估，了解兒童和家庭的需要。目前，世界展望會已在重災區的辦公室設立嬰幼兒營養供應站，使受災家庭的孩子獲得營養照護，並將發放食物、水、急救包、衛生用品等基本物資，包括防水布、毛毯和地墊等救援物資亦正運送至災區。
世界展望會將持續聚焦於水資源暨衛生、健康營養、兒童保護等救援與重建工作，幫助印尼蘇拉威西島受災居民及兒童從災難中復原。台灣世界展望會預計透過飢餓三十募款，回應印尼強震及海嘯災區的需要，邀請各界捐款響應。
